Terms of use
Last updated 30/09/2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses IT Leaders Network. By using the site, or applying to join, you agree to them. Recruiters also agree to our Recruiter Terms of Business. "We" means IT Leaders Network.
Membership
- Membership is for people in senior technology leadership roles. We decide who to approve, and we don't have to give reasons.
- The details you give us must be true and your own. One account per person.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Membership for IT leaders is free.
Using the site
You must not:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- try to get into accounts or parts of the site you're not allowed into, or disrupt the site;
- collect other members' details, by hand or automatically, or contact them for sales or recruitment unless they've asked you to;
- share what members post in the forum outside the site without their permission;
- post anything that breaks our community guidelines.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to show it on the site and to keep it as part of the discussion it belongs to, including after you leave, when it's shown as posted by a former member. Moderators can edit or remove posts that break these terms or the community guidelines.
News
News items link to their original publishers, who are responsible for their content. Articles written for this site are opinion and general information, not professional advice.
Jobs
Jobs on the site come from recruitment agencies, who agree to our Recruiter Terms of Business, and from employers' own careers sites. We don't employ anyone through the site, and we don't vouch for employers, agencies or the jobs they advertise. When you apply, you apply to the agency or employer directly, and anything that follows is between you and them.
Events
Events on the site are run by other people and organisations. We don't vouch for them, and anything you book or pay for is between you and the organiser.
Anyone can submit an event. The details must be accurate, and you must be entitled to share them, including any image. We decide which events to publish, may shorten or edit them, and can remove them at any time without giving reasons. You can't change an event once you've submitted it: email [email protected] with any changes.
Suspending and closing accounts
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can close your account at any time from your account page, or by emailing [email protected].
Our responsibility
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We're not responsible for what members post or for decisions you make based on it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we'll email members about significant changes.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any disputes.
